Hegel’s Dialectic and the Motion of Motion

The subtitle of Donaldson’s dissertation reads: “A Comparative Study of Hegel’s Dialectical Philosophy and Aristotle’s Consideration of the Motion of Motion in Book V of the Physics.” The work is bookended by chapters considering Hegel, but the heart of the dissertation is an extensive consideration of arguments in Aristotle’s Physics, Book V.
