La génération et la corruption des mixtes
Germain’s dissertation considers the generation and corruption of mixed bodies in Aristotle’s De Caelo and De Generatione. While in substance a close exposition of the texts, with the Thomistic tradition of commentary, Germain frames his project in terms of the relevance of understanding the order of inquiry in the philosophy of nature.
Paul Germain taught for a time at Concordia University (Montreal) in the 1970’s. Hist interests lay in the philosophy of science and the ethics of technology. Apart from a few articles, his planned book, The Exponential Growth of the Power of Bio-Knowledge over Life, never seems to have been completed.
